Delicious food from very creative menu choices. Super service, w/ a Cheery waitress with glowing charm more than made up for my first impression. Worth a repeat visit. But the signage is minimal- look for it! Sherryl lox on French bread with radishes and pickled onions, and lemon zest is truly one of a kind unique. And delicious. We are lox & bagel fans re thinking our next effort. My Dutch pancake 5 star. And the side of bacon is worthy. Great quality side meat. Thx all for a wonderful breakfast experience. Oh- don't forget to buy a loaf of their sandwich bread. We are told best in the city by a fellow dinner diner last night. High praise, indeed.

We came on a Saturday around 10am and got a table inside right away. The breakfast sandwich is soft and delicious, and the salmon toast is tangy and filling. The elderflower spritz was also really tasty. I like that you have to order before you're seated - we had to wait for our entire party before we could order but it moved along quickly and kept things easy so we could just leave when we were done eating. Really cute vibes inside!

A good brunch place in the Outer Sunset. They have outdoor dining where you can bring your pup. It's a casual spot where you order at the front of the restaurant before sitting down. The service was okay, and the food came out faster than my coffee. I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk. I thought it was a little too bitter probably won't order that again. My favorite was the side of smashed potatoes, which were perfectly crispy, 5/5. The leek soup was a bit lacking in flavor, so I'd give it a 3/5. The breakfast sandwich was yummy, earning a 4/5, and the gem salad was also a 4/5. Overall, it's a pleasant spot to visit on the weekend. I believe they are also open for dinner, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet. I look forward to exploring more of their menu.

This place has gotten much better over the years! Or maybe I'm just coming on a week night. Came on a Friday night to catch up with some colleagues. It was bysy, but not too crazy. At 6p., we were able to get a table outside. Drinks were strong and delicious. Food was fresh and tasty. Service was a lot better than the first time I came. Our server was super attentive without being intrusive. And he brought a bowl of ice for my dog when I mentioned the pup eats ice! Super thoughtful!

After finishing Bay to Breakers, tired, sweaty, and hungry, we were looking for a place to refuel, and prepare for the next leg of our day, the trek across the city back to the starting point. We came upon Outerlands, which is very close to Ocean Beach, the ending point for Bay to Breakers. Unsurprisingly, we weren't the only hungry Bay-to-Breakers hoping to snag a seat here, and when I saw the crowd of racers waiting outside, I said to my partner there's no way we will get seats here, and we should keep on moving. Luckily, he decided to try anyway, and the two employees working the outside check-in desk informed us that they did in fact have seating availability for two! First off, let me say, one of the most impressive things about this place to me was how friendly and on top of it the employees were, even on such a hectic day when they were swarmed with Bay-to-Breakers. The woman out front took our order and payment first, since inside they were slammed - smart and efficient system. We were then seated at the bar. We had a couple of drinks, and my partner ordered the breakfast sandwich, while I had the grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was pretty good, and his breakfast sandwich looked yummy. Service was friendly and we were never rushed, which I appreciated. This is a nice, comfortable spot, with friendly employees and a good vibe, and close to the beach. We will return.

Farm to table brunch with a small, curated menu in a quiet area of SF. In terms of taste, fried egg was slightly overdone and while ingredients are fresh and other textures were done well, a vibrant flavor was missing for me considering price. Overall still very good! Kind and attentive service with an open kitchen layout. Great outdoor seating to lounge in partial/full shade and a wooden interior indoor seating.

Brunch menu here is consistently delicious with California-style cuisine. This weekend we enjoyed the breakfast sandwich, tuna sandwich, Dutch pancake with apple compote, smoked sturgeon toast, smashed potatoes and aioli, and the ginger lemon apple cider. Really appreciated the high quality of the food. One star off for the very awkward ordering process (where you have to order and pay first) and hipster service which is not particularly friendly or efficient. Otherwise recommend this place highly for the quality of the food and also the beautiful restaurant itself.

Sunday morning at Outerlands was busy, but after a 30-40 minute wait, we snagged a sunny spot outside - perfect for our furry companion to join us! They seem to be dog friendly We indulged in Dutch pancakes and the breakfast sandwich, doubling up on bacon because, why not? The breakfast sandwich stole the show with its perfect balance of flavors and generous toppings, leaving us fully satisfied. While the Dutch pancake had potential with its eggy base and apple topping, it fell short in sweetness. Next time, we'll stick to the sandwich. Overall, Outerlands offered a charming brunch experience, and we're eager to explore more of their menu on our next visit.

Solid brunch spot that's also conveniently close to Ocean Beach! It has a bustling vibe with indoor and outdoor seating (and an operating bar at brunch time??) that's good for small groups. The queueing style is different from other restaurants since you start in one line to get a table number and then join another to place your order and pay, but staff handles the crowd really well. Prepare for a wait (15-20 minutes) at brunch on weekends. Price: ~$25/person Recs: Veggie Grain Bowl (absolutely loved the hummus, quinoa, and flavorful greens in this)

"But is it worth the hype?" That's the question I was seriously asking myself after having seen Outerlands listed on many a foodie recommendation article and food influencer Instagram reel. It's overall pretty good. A few things to note: - Love the rustic ambiance here! -It can get crowded so budget time to wait in line -As others have mentioned, the set up is a bit interesting. You order before you get seated. It feels like they are trying to get so many people through, but thankfully I didn't feel rushed in my meal. -Food is very well-prepared and flavorful. I got the veggie grain bowl which was perfectly seasoned and fresh, albeit a little greasy. -Portion sizes are on the smaller side relative to the price point. -The lemon ginger apple cider was the perfect cozy beverage on a fall day in the Outer Sunset. I'd come back, but there's also a ton of other SF brunch places I'd like to try first.
